Title Bond
Dates of Creation February 24, 1798
Scope & Content This bond given by John Brooks of Botetourt County, Virginia in the amount of 50 pounds lawful money of Virginia guarantees that Brooks will furnish a good and lawful deed to an six-acre tract, being a portion of the land on which Brooks now live, to Christen (Christian) Vinyard. Vinyard is not satisfied with the original survey of the six-acre tract and the parties have agreed to have it surveyed by the County Surveyor for Botetourt County. The bond was witnessed by Anthony Gholson and Wm. McClenahan.
