Title Handwritten Copy of Land Patent

Scope & Content Handwritten copy of September 20, 1748 land patent for 400 acres called the Naked Farm in Augusta County on the waters of Roanoak, branch of Caravie's Creek, from George II to Mark Evans, copy made by William G. Pendleton on 12 Aug 1817. The original would have been signed by Sir William Gooch, Baronet, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia.
