Title Promissory note

Scope & Content This item is actually a promissory note. From a close look at the information contained within, it appears that T. Abston Austin of Bedford, Virginia may have been in business with R. E. Fore. The signer of the note is illegible, but by default, the note was protested on August 11, 1912. The notary public appears to have been W. A. Fitzpatrick, who, from Object ID 1964.66.16.b, we know was a cashier at The Peoples Bank of Bedford City, Virginia.
