Notes The letter was originally folded to make its own envelope, and sealed with black wax, traces of which remain; postage and weight are handwritten; stamped postmark, (may be woven or linen bond), has a large watermark of a winged cupid bearing a banner with the letters ALMASSO on one half and watermark initials GM on the other half.
