|Scope & Content||This document is a land rental agreement between William Vinyard and James and Elijah McClanahan and the renters Robert Filson and Robert Thrasher (signed by Thomas Thrasher for his son Robert who may not have been 21 years old at this time.) The lease is for the Glade Creek Plantation with the exception of the mills and a small field adjoining the mills for the period from December 25, 1828 to the same date in 1829. Rent is to be $140 for the year and right to cut firewood and certain repairs to the house and outbuildings are also spelled out in this agreement.|
