Scope & Content This is a statement of the account of Abraham Vinyard with the merchant Fred Johnston & Company for the year 1834. Mr. Vinyard purchased coffee, sugar, indigo, nails, blistered steel, cotton yarn, and whiskey in the amount of $5.63 and partially paid for these items by bartering 10 bushels of oats valued at $2.50.
