Title Lutheran Children's Home of the South
Dates of Creation circa 1945
Scope & Content An unused color postcard of the Administration Building on the grounds of The Lutheran Children's Home of the South, located in Salem, Virginia. The Lutherans built an administration building and two cottages among the stately oaks of the former Burwell-Logan plantation, known as "Sherwood," just off the Lynchburg Turnpike. The buildings were occupied Nov 4, 1926, and dedicated 5 days later.
