Title Virginia Building at Catawba Sanitorium
Description Photograph of the Virginia Building which was the first infirmary at Catawba Sanatorium located in Catawba, Virginia, several miles north of Salem, Virginia. The upper left corner of the image contains the notation "40 beds". The date of the photograph is 1913. This description is based on information contained in a note on the back of the photograph. The land on which the infirmary stood was formerly a resort known as Roanoke Red Sulphur Springs.
