A black and white photograph of the razing of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in June 1956, in Roanoke, Virginia. The church is located on the corner of Campbell Avenue and Third Street, across the street from Virginia Southern College, Reid and Cutshall Furniture Company, and the service department of the Plymouth DeSoto dealership. The crane is removing the roof and steeple. The side walls are partially removed and the bell tower top is completely removed and suspended in air at the end of the crane. |
