Description |
Elgin treadle sewing machine with fold out table top. The machine itself has the phrase "the Elgin" painted on the frontside of the top portion of the machine. The lettering is bordered with gold accents with ornate flowers which can also be found on the base of the machine and on the corners of the machine itself. On the center of the base there is a painted wheel that is accented by gold borders and the same ornate flowers found throughout the piece. On the top of the machine there is gold lettering that says "Elgin Sewing Machine Co.Rockford.Ills.U.S.A." The legs of the machine/table consists of a metal alloy that is casted into circular sections the sides. The treadle is designed with oval-shaped holes possibly resembling flower buds. When facing the frontside, two sets of three drawers each can be seen on both the left and right sides. The drawers each have a small handle for ease of use. |
