Undated fragment of a letter from Emma W. G. Breckinridge to her daughter Lucy who is probably visiting with the Burwell family with news from home, making a cake for little Emma Woodbridge who has birthday soon, problems getting butter delivered by the canal boats, of exchanging letters with Julia, but not being able to visit often, of little Nannie pulling Aunt Hannah by the apron strings and wanting things in the kitchen, and closes with good wishes for all. |
