Scope & Content |
Land grant from Leiutenant Governor Beverley Randolph, of Virginia, to Hezekiah Chenia. The grant is for two hundred and eighty-seven acres, of which Hezekiah Chenia paid one pound ten shillings sterling. The land is in Montgomery County, at Sugar Run, a Branch of Cripper Creek, and was surveyed in 1782. Deed is written in fading brown ink, and signed by Beveley Randolph in the lower right hand corner. A red seal was affixed to lower left corner, but is now missing. |
