January 20, 1986 |
Scope & Content |
Photocopy of a newspaper clipping from the Business Extra section of the Akron Beacon Journal from January 20, 1986. O. Winston Link's "Popes on the Porch" photograph made the front page of the Wall Street Journal, which the Associated Press picked up and placed in the Akron Beacon Journal. O. Winston Link annotated in black ink on the photocopy to Marie Dudra the following, "They never used a photo on the front page & only once did a photographer make page 1 - Ansel Adams in 1978 OWL" Link also 'x' out the other article on the page, drawing attention to his image of the Pope family in Max Meadows. |
