A photograph of "Cocke-Spur", the Orchard Hill residence of Mr. Lucian Hayward Cocke and Sarah Johnson Hagan Cocke, his wife, just prior to the May 4, 1914 reception for Vice President, and Mrs. Thomas R. Marshall. This photograph shows in particular the northern driveway entrance to the property where guests formed a line to enter the pergola for introduction to the honored guests. This photograph appears on page 26 of a scrapbook titled "Cocke-Spur" formerly owned by Sarah Johnson Hagan Cocke. |
