Color postcard of the pool at Lakeside in Salem. Several people in bathing suits and suits stand in front of the pool, posing, while others stand at the edge of hte pool and on the platform in the center of the pool. At the upper right of the postcard, it reads: two Million Gallons Fresh Water Changing Constantly. In the lower left, it reads: Concrete Swimming Lake,"Lakeside", Roanoke, VA Addressed to Mr. Billy Ballard in Bedford. Green one cent stamp has been placed in the upper right hand corner, and is postmarked, May 18, 1921. Stamp pictures a profile of George Washington. Postcard was published by the Virginia Specialty Company, Roanoke. |
