A certificate dated May 1923 awarded to T. W. Goodwin from the Roanoke Council Boy Scouts of America certifying Mr. Goodwin as a "Share Builder" in Garrett Gooch Hall at Camp Powhatan, a Boy Scout camp located in Natural Bridge Station, Rockbridge County, Virginia. Garrett Gooch Hall was built in 1922 and named after Garrett Gideon Gooch, Jr., a native of Staunton, Virginia, who served as Vice President of Stone Printing and Manufacturing Company in Roanoke, Virginia. Mr. Gooch died January 28, 1920 at age 42. |
