Volume III of John Burk's History of Virginia ' From Its First Settlement to the Commencement of the Revolution, in three volumes,' printed in Petersburg, Virginia. Book is missing leather exterior, and someone has written in iron gall ink on its spine 'Burke's Virginia 3'. Inscription in the front: R. F. Graves, Petersburg Virginia, 29 Feb 1828_p.20ch. Graves also signed it in several other places, as well as stamped the title page. Printed by John Dickson of Bollingbrook Street. Someone has practiced their capital script Ps, Js, and Es on the last page of the book. |
