Letter headed "Dec. 10th 1856" from Emma Gilmer Breckinridge to her daughter, Mary Woodville, at Glencary, Sweet Springs Post Office. She tells of receiving a letter from Mary today, about buying some 15 yards of jeans [cloth material] at Godwin's Store in Fincastle at 37 1/2 cents per yard, asking Mary to come over for Christmas, this letter will have to be sent to the shop and mailed at "Salt River City" closing with remarks about their visit and love to the children. |
