Letter undated with no heading (1818 by context) to Emma Gilmer at New London, Campbell [County, Virginia] with no signature expressing her strong feeling to see Emma soon, tells of her cousin and friends visiting, and some of her personal problems, expressing her strong Christian faith. Most of the letter is an exhortation for Emma "to give up the world and become a Christian". Letter may have been written by Mary Moseley, one of Emma's fellow students. |
