Digital video file pulled from an older format of the American Legion Auditorium fire on November 3, 1957. The film was recorded by G. T. Campbell of Roanoke, Virginia. The color video is snipets of fire trucks surrounding the building, water being sprayed into broken windows, and the general architecture of the building after the worst of the fire had been put out. The American Legion Auditorium was situated across the street from the Norfolk & Western Passenger station and was beside the Hotel Roanoke (in the present day Hotel parking lot directly across from the passenger station). |
