Published in The Times-Dispatch, of Richmond, Virginia, this article is an in depth history on the pioneer woman, Mary Draper Ingles, as well as the unveiling of a monument in her honor in Radford. Miss Mary Draper Ingles, daughter of Capt. Andrew Ingles, and great-great-grandaughter to the original Mary Draper Ingles, unveiled the monument in 1909. |
