Image on postcard is a birdseye view of Galveston, Texas (not a photograph, but some other media). The top left on the image of the postcard has: 7314. Birdseye View of greater Galveston, Tex. On the top of the back of the postcard in fancy lettering is the words "Post Card." Below that are the words MESSAGE, then a dividing line, then ADDRESS. On the message side of the back, it reads: Arrived today 29th Feeling very bad- ly. Dr. Says I must go to Hospital To-morrow. [illegible] The postcard is addressed to: Mrs. J. R. Hicks Chalybeate Springs North Carolina c/o L. B. Smith R. [illegible]. S. The stamp is on the top right corner of the back of the postcard. The stamp has been cancelled with an American flag that turns into the squiggly cancellation. The post mark is from Galveston, Texas, om September 27, 1910, at 10-30P. The stamp is from the early 1900s. |
