This item contains two letters written close to the same time and apparently mailed in the same envelope. Letter 780 from Gordon Robertson to his sister Peachy telling of an ear ache and hearing loss, apologizes for his previous letter "being full of old gloomy stuff," and he has had a stay in local hospital, but is healing now, thanks for a package from home including magazines to read, comments on the marriage of John P. Coleman to Katherine, tells of girl friend he has in Tulsa and they are exchanging letters, but he does not love her, but would do most anything for her, and complains of the heat in Texas, but said had stood 300 miles south of here in 1916, so I'll make it all right. He says he is enclosing a note to little Ann, but it is not in the files we have at this time. |
