A photograph of "Cocke-Spur", the Orchard Hill residence of Mr. Lucian Hayward Cocke and Sarah Johnson Hagan Cocke, his wife, during the May 4, 1914 reception for Vice President, and Mrs.Thomas R. Marshall. This view is from the street with police officers in the foreground and guests in the background. These guests apparently have been through the receiving line and are in conversation on the front porch and front lawn of the residence. This photograph appears on page 28 of a scrapbook titled "Cocke-Spur" formerly owned by Sarah Johnson Hagan Cocke. |
