Letter headed "Oak Lands February 21st 1845, Friday evening" from M. P. (Mary Peachy) Gilmer to her sister, Emma Breckinridge, at Grove Hill, Fincastle, Botetourt County, Virginia responding to her mother's letter dated February 18, 1845 (see Object ID 1969.51.379), telling of an ear illness of Mrs. Watts, and that Mr. Bozzaotra probably will not be staying around next year to teach music, thanking her mother for the gifts she is receiving, and telling of her plans to celebrate Lent and travel to see friends. |
