Purple booklet, folded in half horizontally, about Roanoke's history in enterprise and its progress since its creation in the 1880s. Pamphlet is made for the tourist, and was created to attract visitors or enterpreneurs to the growing Magic City. White and gold writing with oak leaf decoration (Roanoke's slogan in the early 1900s was 'acorn to oak' because of it's rapid growth from Big Lick to Roanoke). On the bottom half (considered the back if folded, a gold seal declares Roanoke "Incorporated 25 Years/The Result/Of Commercial/Cooperation/ Population 35,000" Each page is printed on glossy photo paper, with a red square border. Frontispiece contains both red and black text. It reads: Roanoke Virginia: It's location, climate, and water supply :: its manufacturing commercial and educationa advantages and general desirability as a place of residence. Issued by the Chamber of Commerce. Compiled and edited under the Auspices of the Jamestown Exposition Committee. By E.B. Jacobs, Secretary Chamber of Commerce.
