    Undated note from Mary Gilmer to her daughter Lucy, at school [in Persico's Seminary, Richmond, Virginia] mentions letter is being carried by her brother, not to worry about money to pay her tuition, sending a gold chain to carry a ring made from her deceased father's hair, and asking about her supply of socks, stockings and shoes.
