7. Exchange Lumber Company - A black and white photograph of the Exchange Lumber Company, organized in 1899 by T. W. Goodwin, S. W. Jamison, B. P. Huff, and James P. Woods. The structure was located at what was then the northeast corner of the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Third Street (now 1255 Williamson Road, SE). The residences in the background, since razed, form a portion of the development known as Orchard Hill, being the old Terry orchard land.

8. Goodwin Residence at 1010 Orchard Hill - A black and white photograph of the house at 1010 Orchard Hill, built by Thompson West Goodwin, between 1907 and 1908, in Roanoke, Virginia. Mr. Goodwin came to Roanoke in 1888 and later married Mary Terry, daugher of P. L. Terry. In 1900, Mr. Goodwin and ten other business associates chartered the Century Banking and Safe Deposit Company with $100,000 capital. They took over the old headquarters of the National Exchange Bank on the southeast corner of Jefferson Street and Salem Avenue. In 1914 he became manager of Peoples Perpetual Building and Loan Association. Mr. Terry died on January 20, 1933. He was President of Peoples Perpetual Building and Loan Company at the time of his death.
