Tells of Harmer's return home from Baltimore where he completed medical training, and various possibilities as to where he should settle. Asks after Lucy and John, who are living with Emma; Mary Peachy is studying with her father. Tells of slaves sold (by name) and debts paid off. Asks especially about Emma's toothache.
