Several of the coaches of the National Champion Midget League Football Team. - A black and white photograph of John R Howard, Sam Elliot, Buddy Hackman, and Bob McLelland, four of the coaches of the 1951 National Champion Midget League Football Team from Roanoke,Virginia, which was victorious in the Santa Claus Bowl competition in Lakeland, Florida. The photograph was taken in Wasena Park. John Hurt, Jr. who played on the team and did most of the play calling commented in an interview at the History Museum of Western Virginia in 2013 that the team was well coached on the fundamentals of the game and was also well practiced.
