  2. Land Deed - October 5, 1827

    A handwritten deed for 67 3/4 acres of land in Botetourt County, Virginia sold by John Vinyard and his wife Jane to Abraham Vinyard for $609.75 cash paid before the deed was delivered. This tract was part of the land John Vinyard received from his father's lands on both sides of Wolf Creek. Metes and bounds are mentioned as are the adjacent property owners.

    This document is a plat of a survey dividing the property of William Henry,deceased, (in another part of the document the property belonged to John Henry) into two parts -- one for the deceased Henry's widow and heirs, and the other part going to John Muse to settle a court action in the Botetourt County Court during the January 1824 Court. Muse was the plaintiff and Owen Henry and others were the defendants.
