2. Roanoke Baseball Team - Image # 1 is a studio photograph of an early Roanoke baseball team. A caption at the bottom of the photograph reads as follows "Roanoke Baseball Team in Virginia League Pop Tate Mgr.". The numerals 1 through 12 have been pencilled onto the image and appear on the left breast of each individual. Handwritten notes on the back of the photograph shown in image # 2 identify most of the photographed individuals by number as follows: #1 Dusty Coons; #2 Wrigley; #3 Lynch; #6 Pop Tate; #7 Gigay McGann; 8 Hill; #9 Ed McGinnis #12 Williams. A more recent copy of this photogragh is held in the History Museum photograph collection as Object ID # 1964.16.3.

3. Roanoke Baseball Team - This black and white image is a copy of a studio photograph of an early Roanoke baseball team. A caption at the bottom of the photograph reads as follows "Roanoke Team in Virginia League. Pop Tate Manager". The original photogragh is held in the History Museum photograph collection as Object ID # 1964.11.54. Based on identification made with the original the individuals seated on the bottom row are Dusty Coons, Wrigley, and Lynch. Pop Tate sits in the center of the middle row with Gigay McGann and Hill to his left. On the top row Ed McGinnis stands on the far left and Williams stands on the far right.
