  2. Deed for Joseph Davidson for land in Tazewell County - August 1, 1809

    A deed signifiying the exchanged of a tract of land, certified by John Tyler, Governor of Virginia, and given to Joseph Davidson. The land, one hundred and fifty acres, surveyed in 1806, is in Tazewell County, on a branch of Bluestone. Deed is written in faded borwn ink on a thin piece of vellum, and signed by John Tyler in lower right corner. Seal in lower left corner is missing. Warrant number 1701.

  3. Deed of Land for Joseph Davidson in Tazewell County - August 1, 1809

    A deed signifiying the exchanged of a tract of land, certified by John Tyler, Governor of Virginia, for two hundred and ninety three acres, surveyed in 1807 to Joseph Davidson. The land is in Tazewell County along the brushy fork of Bluestone. Deed on a thin piece of vellum, and is signed by John Tyler in the lower right hand corner. Seal is missing in the lower left. Warrant number 19196.

    Letter dated June 1, 1809 from Edmund Randolph, Richmond, to General Preston at Mr. Mumford's, concerning repayment of a loan to Preston. Randolph also had a loan at the bank he was trying to get renewed and asked for Preston's assistance.
