   This document is a plat of a survey dividing the property of William Henry,deceased, (in another part of the document the property belonged to John Henry) into two parts -- one for the deceased Henry's widow and heirs, and the other part going to John Muse to settle a court action in the Botetourt County Court during the January 1824 Court. Muse was the plaintiff and Owen Henry and others were the defendants.

   This is a copy of the will of William Poage made in 1832 and fully proven in the April 1835 Botetourt Court. Poage leaves his widow Elizabeth the lifetime use of his plantation and then directs it be evenly divided among his 5 sons, William, James, Robert, John and David.
