Three individuals stand at the front entrance of the large white Georgian home, most likely James Cassell, his wife, Emma, and their son James Jr. At the left of the image, still in front of the home, an automobile sits in front of the garage (the home boasted an attached garage and stable), with an African American chauffer sitting in the driver seat. Just behind the car is a group of African Americans, an older woman and three children. The house is surrounded by tall trees, giving the home part of its name: wolde.

   Postcard of the original Country Club, Roanoke, Virginia, on Old Country Club Road. This building was built in 1907 and burned in 1925. It was across from the entrance to "Casselwold". The Casselwold estate was once owned by Elmore D. and Reba F. Heins, and is now the Roanoke United Methodist Home.
