2. Carlton Terrace Building and Hall's Produce, Roanoke, Virginia - A black and white photograph of the Carlton Terrace Building located at 920 through 924 South Jefferson Street at the west edge of Orchard Hill. The Building was occupied by apartments, doctor's offices, and at times a coffee shop, beauty salon, and a pharmacy. More recently its sole occupant was the College of Health Sciences. The building and the parking garage have been razed. Hall's Produce, just to the south of the Carlton Terrace Building was a neighborhood grocery store operated by W.M. Hall and R.K. Chewning. A Rainbo Bread delivery truck and one of the milk trucks of Clover Creamery Co. Inc. are parked at the curb near the store. An additional apartment building on Jefferson Street can be seen to the north of the Carlton Terrace Building.

5. Clover Creamery Milk Bottle - The object is a clear Clover Creamery half pint milk bottle. The bottle is made from glass. The glass has the word "Clover" written on it as well as numerous other words. The words are actually raised glass rather than being painted on or etched into the glass. The bottle has a wide lip before slightly narrowing at the neck of the bottle and then stretching out again toward the main body and bottom of the bottle.

Garland, the owner of the business, is shown seated on a stool at the left. The gentleman standing behind the counter is Wallace Eades, drug clerk. To his left standing behind the counter at the soda fountain are Mickey Spencer, Alberta Ferguson, and Hilda Green, in that order. The building housing the drug store was demolished in the 1950's to make way for the viaduct which brought traffic directly to Jefferson Street from what is now Williamson Road.
