   Virginia The Beckoning Land comes from the Virginia Commission on Conservation and Development in 1929 under Governor Harry Flood Byrd. The pictorial wrapper shows a street scene with lots of red included. There is a large tree and people walking down the sidewalk. There is a map included with the document inside the wrapper.

   The booklet cover shows a tree lined path with the whole thing tinged green. The full title is "Roads of Romance in Virginia From the Mountains to the Sea". It was copyrighted and created by the State-Planter's Bank and Trust Company 1931 to promote tourism in Virginia. The book uses the work of the State Conservation and Development Commission for accuracy. The booklet has many pages dedicated to the roads of Virginia.
