The sign on the left advertises the "Harvest Festival Football" games at Roanoke's Victory Stadium. On October 2, William Fleming plays Jefferson in the Sandlot Benefit Game, and on October 3, V.P.I. plays W. & M. in the Harvest Bowl Game. The second sign advertises the Virginia State-Wide Industrial Exposition, known as INDEX. "Color and Fashion for Living" during the Harvest Festival" to be held at Roanoke's Victory Stadium on September 30 and October 1-3.
