Description |
Black & white photograph of the exterior of 903 S. Jefferson Street - the Fralin House - at the corner of Jefferson and McClanahan St. House is a three-storied brick house with small porticos on both the front and the right proper side. Large bushes obscure almost the entire first floor windows and railing of side porch. A small tree is in bloom at left of image, and a small hedge sits in the front of the small yard, on top of a brick wall. On the reverse, someone has written in blue ink: As the house and grounds looked when I came to it in May 1925 note a privet hedge at top of walk - which was replaced in 1940 - ' This is potentially the Philadelphia home of David Flickwir, in which he lived before moving to Roanoke in 1881. |
