Five photos of a parade for Franklin D. Roosevelt in Roanoke, Virginia in fall of 1934. The parade went down Campbell Avenue in front of the court house in the first three photos. Spectators line the steps of the court house with bank members on the landing. There is a Boy Scout and parade official lining the parade route. In the fourth photo the parade is in front of the furniture store Reed and Cutshall and the Roanoke Times building. A policeman stands along the parade route. In the fifth photo the car carrying President Roosevelt is passing in front of the Chevrolet car dealership. |
