O. Winston Link on the roof of the Cloverdale Station. In order to include the semaphore train order signals in the foreground of the photograph The Lone Star Shifter Passing Cloverdale Station, made in February 1957, it was necessary for Winston Link to construct a platform on the roof of the N&W station in Cloverdale, Virginia. Here the platform has been finished and Link is making final adjustemtns to the cameras before making the photos later that night, (inbound 139). |
