Snow scene on Mason Creek in the vicinity of B. J. Fishburn's cottage. Mason Creek runs from the Bradshaw area in Roanoke County, Virginia through Hanging Rock and then parallel to Kessler's Mill Road into the City of Salem where it empties into the Roanoke River. Blair Joshua Fishburn, also known as B.J. Fishburn, was born on June 25,1876 and died on June 13, 1962. In 1935 this Roanoke civic and business leader donated twenty seven acres to the City of Roanoke for what is now known as Fishburn Park. |
