Picture of the three story Elks Club at Tazwell Avenue and Jefferson Street in Roanoke, Virginia just before being demolished. There was an addition to the building on the left side of the building. "BPOE" (Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks) sign on the building identifying it as the Elks Club. There is a late 1960's or early 1970's Dodge Rambler in the photo.The original stone wall was replaced by a brick wall. There is a sign posted - Demolition by D.H. Griffin, Wrecking Co., Greensboro, N.C. |
