Front exterior view of the Stone Printing building located on Jefferson Street opposite Hotel Roanoke. The operations of Stone Printing and Manufacturing Company began at this location in 1891 and after several expansion phases were encased in the attractive stone veneer in 1907. In recent years the building housed the regional offices of the Social Security Administration. Raymond Barnes' "A History of the City of Roanoke" at pages 149, 235, and 430. |
