Virginia Western Community College was established in 1966 on a 70-acre campus located in Southwest Roanoke, Virginia. It is a two-year public institution of higher education operating under a statewide system of community colleges. The college services Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County, Craig County, southern Botetourt County, and northern Franklin County for day, evening and weekend classes. Classes are also offered at off-campus locations in the area. There are currently over 12,000 students enrolled. The college provides Virginia industry with engineering assistants and technicians. Fishburn Hall is located on North campus. |
