Business-Industry-Education Day, or BIE Day, was a gathering of teachers to find out more about business and industry. Teachers chose from a list of businesses they were interested in and spent the day as the company's guest. This event lasted about 3-4 years in the early 1950's. These photos were taken at Rowe Furniture in Salem, Virginia in 1953. Teachers on bus to visit one of the businesses. |
