Title |
Flooding on Grandin Road circa 1978 |
Description |
A black and white photograph of a flooded Grandin Road taken in front of the Grandin Theatre during a rain storm circa 1978. The stores across the street are the Thriftway Super Market, 1319 Grandin Road, and the First National Exchange Bank of Virginia (Grandin Road office). During this period, the Grandin Theatre was being used as the Mill Mountain Playhouse Productions, following a fire that had destroyed their prior home in the Rockledge Inn on Mill Mountain. The identification on the reverse states that Danny Ryan's Porche is in the foreground at the curb. |
