A photographic negative of Fire Station No. 9, located at Melrose Avenue and 24th Street, in Roanoke, Virginia, showing one fire truck parked in front of the brick building. The building has two stories and two double doors on the ground level for trucks, and two recessed entrances on either end of the building. The center part of the building has a hipped roof which is tiled with clay tiles. The two ends are tower-like in shape with flat roofs. There are mullioned windows across the second story and a TV antenna on the roof. There is an American flag hanging from the center of the building. This item is a negative.
