Loebl Dye Works |
Description |
A black and white photograph of the street view of Loebl Dye Works Inc., also known as Loebl Cleaners, which opened for business at 346-348 Salem Avenue SW in 1925 or 1926. Initial officers of the corporation were Abe Totz, president, Joseph Loebl, vice president and manager, and Robert Loebl, secretary. Joseph Loebl had formerly been a dyer with Klensall Cleaning & Dye Works, Inc. The corporation initially advertised "Dyeing Deluxe" and the cleaning of rugs, curtains, and household goods as specialties. A 1934 Ford is parked in front of the building. It carries the name of the business, its telephone number, and under the passenger side window the name "A.W. Huffman". The second image is a retouched version of the first image. |
