Wooden ruler with advertisement. Printed in the center of the ruler is "DAVIS & STEPHENSON, Inc., GENERAL INSURANCE, 112 Kirk Avenue, S.W., ROANOKE, VA." Printed above this is: "LAWRENCE S. DAVIS, President, W. C. STEPHENSON, Vice President, MARSHALL H. DAVIS, Secretary-Treasurer". On one end of the ruler is a drawing of a building and to the right of this is printed: "BONDS OF EVERY DESCRIPTION, EXECUTED ON APPLICATION". On the other end of the ruler is a compass-like symbol with an American Bald Eagle on top of the American flag. Written above the symbol is: "WE WILL BOND YOU" ; the following words appear within the round compass symbol: "FIDELITY, JUDICIAL, CASUALTY, CONTRACT".
